Navi Mumbai is the largest planned town or ‘new city’ in the world that is spread across 344 sq km of area. It was founded in the year 1971 to beat the pressure that was building upon the state and to accommodate the ever growing migrating population towards Mumbai. Navi Mumbai is a highly planned infrastructure city on the levels of modern technology and amenities that is located 29 kms to the northeast of Mumbai.
